Heritage Academy
Our mission at Heritage Academy is to partner with the community to provide a 6-12th grade educational experience that empowers and prepares all scholars to recognize the fullness of their identity to determine, pursue, and succeed the future of their choice. In accordance with our mission, we believe everything we do must be rooted in Gullah Geechee heritage and strive for academic excellence.
Personalized Learning
With 2 teachers in all classes, all scholars will get the one-on-one support that they need. Our educators are developed in the skills of identifying and supporting individual scholar need. At Heritage Academy, we see your scholar's needs and tailor their instruction!
Place-Based Instruction
In honoring the arts, history, civic, and natural resources of the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor, scholar learning is placed in a local context. Scholars will receive high-quality, standard aligned instruction that is relevant to their every-day experiences.
Proactive School Culture
Families are the experts on their scholars. We work alongside families to support every scholars' village. Through our House System each scholar will have an advisor/mentor to support them through their educational experience.

Our partnerships with local businesses and local organizations, allow scholars the opportunity to explore in-demand career pathways. At Heritage Academy, we create opportunities for scholars to explore who they want to be and provide the skills and support to make that happen!
